ABSOLUT APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

Absolut Resources Corp. (ABS) today announced that Mr. Dan Noone has been appointed President & CEO. Mr. Noone will be replacing Mr. John Tarrant, who is stepping down from this position. Mr. Noone has a degree in Geology from Ballarat University and an MBA from the University of Melbourne. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (A.I.G.) and as such meets the requirements to be the company's Qualified Person as outlined in National Instrument 43-101.

Mr. Noone brings a wealth of exploration expertise to Absolut with over 15 years of experience in the resource sector including 7 years of direct experience in Peru. Mr. Noone will spearhead the company's strategic shift as it expands its exploration efforts into Peru.

Mr. John Tarrant, who had been President & CEO of Absolut Resources Corp. for 2 years, will remain on the Board of Directors. Mr. Tarrant has over 12 years of international experience in the resource sector and has held numerous senior positions with several mineral exploration companies.

Absolut Resources Corp. is a TSX-V listed precious metals exploration and development company with corporate offices in Toronto, Canada. The Company's primary asset is the Picho Machay Gold Project, Peru. The project's geological features are comparable to other established mines in Peru. Absolut strongly believes in an international best practices approach, and implements this on a company wide basis for all its social and environmental decisions
